Hongkong Buyer and Central Java Government Visit Agrominafiber: Strengthening Export Opportunities and Local Support

On 15/6/2025 PT Agrominafiber Java Indonesia had the honor of welcoming two important guests: a buyer delegation from Hongkong in the afternoon, followed by a visit from the Central Java Provincial Office later that day. These visits mark a strategic moment in expanding the global reach of our sustainable crafts and building strong partnerships with government stakeholders.

Hongkong Buyer Shows Interest in Sustainable Banana Fiber Crafts

During the afternoon visit, the Hongkong buyer toured Agrominafiber’s workshop and showroom in Kebumen, Central Java. They observed firsthand the production process of handmade crafts from banana stem and water hyacinth fibers, from raw material preparation to finished goods such as eco-friendly baskets, bags, and home decor items.

The buyer expressed high interest in the sustainability values and unique design aesthetics offered by Agrominafiber, opening the door for long-term collaboration, bulk orders, and custom-made product lines for the East Asian market.

Government Visit Highlights Export Support for Local Enterprises

Later that day, representatives from the Central Java Provincial Industry and Trade Office visited Agrominafiber as a form of appreciation and support for our efforts in developing a social enterprise based on organic waste upcycling. Discussions focused on the importance of strengthening local product branding and facilitating export access through government-backed programs.

This visit also provided an opportunity to coordinate potential participation in international exhibitions and capacity-building workshops for our artisan communities.

Agrominafiber: Crafting a Global Social Enterprise

Agrominafiber is committed to growing as a globally recognized Indonesian social enterprise that delivers not just profit, but also positive social and environmental impact. With continued interest from international buyers and strong support from local authorities, we are optimistic about bringing the spirit of Indonesian village crafts to the global stage.
